Chosson & Kallah Need Your Help Getting Married!
raised by 38 people in 1 yearDonate
Hello and thank you for taking part in our simcha! We are a couple doing our best to make a wedding, but unfortunately it has proven to be a task too big for us. Thank G-d our rabbi and rebbetzin have been a pillar of guidance and support for us and we have worked planning, saving, arguing, having panic attacks, making appointments and phone calls, and preparing ourselves mentally and spiritually, but with neither the bride’s nor groom’s parents able to provide financial support, we admit, we need help.
This where we turn to you, the community, to take part in our simcha and fulfill the mitzvah of simchas chosson v’kallah. We are both currently living on our own and getting by, doing our best to plan the wedding with our Rabbis and Rebbetzins, but even for a modest joyful wedding the expenses stack up quickly to the point where it seems impossible to accomplish. However, we have remained steadfast to this commitment.
Since getting engaged I have moved out of my apartment and in with a family friend to save money, picked up some extra work, and have put every penny toward our wedding. By now we’re happy to say we have at least enough for two witnesses and a pizza.
Try as we might, we cannot hold to this commitment without your (and G-d’s) help. Whatever you decide to contribute we are both extremely grateful for and will pay it forward through building a warm Jewish home full of Shabbos guests, helping others wherever we can, raising our children to be caring and helpful Jews, and one day contributing to the next Chosson and Kallah that need help.
If you have read this far we want to thank you for the time you’ve taken to hear our story.;
